Emergency Support Unit

Aug. 20, 2007
Crestline's 5,000th vehicle was an Emergency Support Unit created for Toronto's Emergency Medical Services. The ESU features a bus exterior and an ambulance interior. Its specialty is emergency incidents where multiple casualties are present, able to handle 10 patients on stretchers, with seating for an additional 10 persons. A Ricon loading system provides ergonomic safety to medics and the powder coated alumninum interior provides superior infection control. A communications center, and a 7.5 kW diesel fueled onboard generator provide extra lifesaving support for the City of Toronto's residents.
